I had one and it would hold around 13 gallons and got about 300 miles to the tankfull.

The short bed Ranger has a 15 gallon, Long bed has a 17 gallon and the extended cab Ranger has the 14.2 gallon. This information can be found in any 1988 Ford Ranger owners manual.

The extended cab had the smallest tank available in that year, figure that one out! I had an '88 2.9l 5spd (wish I had it back), I think 12-13 gal is about right, it wasn't much in any case. Great truck though, enjoy your Gen 1 Ranger, best small truck ever made IMO!!!

i would say about a 13 or 14 gal tank

my 1990 Dodge Omni only has a 14 gal tank and it has a 4cyl 2.2L motor
