i'm always fasinated in having mushroom in big breakfast everytime when I have it in the restaurant. Ingredients such as black puddings, baked beans, hush brown are easy to cook. When it comes to mushroom, sadly I have tried to cook but no success yet. Anyone can tell me how to cook mushroom that tastes exactly like what it's like in the restaurant?

Cut some field mushrooms into quarters or sixths depending on their size and cut some button mushrooms in half. Heat a pan with a good amount of canola oil and throw in the mushrooms. When they are frying throw in a big tablespoon of butter. They will soak up a lot of moisture. If they get to dry or the butter starts to burn, turn down the heat and about 10 mls of water carefully, adjust as necessary because you don't want them to go soggy. Add salt liberally and some chopped parsley and oregano. Yum.

edit: You could fry a little garlic and shallot in the oil before you add the mushrooms or try a little drizzle of balsamic vinegar instead of the water.

Get a saute pan ready on your stove.

Have your mushrooms cut, usually i cut them into 1/2 inch pieces instead of just slices them.

so if you had a white buttom mush room, you would cut them in quarters.

add butter to your heated pan.

butter add more flavor than oil, but if you are more health conscience use olive oil.

Through in some springs of fresh herbs, good ones are rosemary and thyme.

swirl it around the pan to infuse the butter with the fresh herbs.

Add your mushrooms and season very well with salt and pepper.

taste it to check your seasoning.

Cook down for atleast 3-4 minutes. HIt it with a splash of balsamic vinegar.

and your done :)

Well have you tried cutting it up in small pieces and making it into an omelet. Best way to eat them in the morning. Just put mushroom first to fry for about 3 minutes then the eggs and whatever else you want in it.

Mushrooms come in different sizes and varieties. If you are referring to the Bella mushroom which comes in small and large sizes, it can be prepared in a variety of ways. To cook it by itself, it can be sauteed with a light virgin olive oil with some slices of yellow onions. You can also prepare the large mushroom by making one of your favorite stuffings and stuff it into the cap of the mushroom. For recipes punch into the search bar mushroom recipes. One question, did you know that a mushroom is the smallest room in the house?

nFirst chop the onions, put a little oil in the frying pan and throw the onions wait until golden. Buy Shitake Mushrooms, clean them cut off the mushroom foot and cut the mushroom in long strips. (like french fries.) add this to the onions and mix over medium fire. check to see that mushrooms have gotten softer. add salt and garlic pepper, I know that McCormick makes great spices. when the mushrooms are almost done add two table spoons of sour cream and mix. that is it.

Take big mushrooms - not poor little champignons de Paris. Sprinkle with olive oil, season and cook gently over medium heat, turning once. Cook bacon in a separate pan, take out the bacon and keep warm, add bacon fat to mushrooms.

I would think that if you go to a cafe to eat big breakfast with mushrooms, they'd be fried. Hopefully not deep fried 'cos it's quick but unhealthy.

This is my favourite way,

wash mushrooms to remove dirt and grit ( I know its against what they say).
half or quarter mushrooms if necessary.
put tbsp of butter in a small saucepan for about one big handful of mushrooms.
add mushrooms to pan when butter begins to melt and sizzle.
season with salt & pepper, add a clove of finely minced garlic if you want it garlicky.
toss mushrooms to coat in butter, turn heat down to low and cook for 10 mins.
moisture is released from mushrooms and mingles with the butter and creates a tasty buttery sauce. add finely chopped parsley if liked.

This is also good on toast with poached egg or in a crusty roll with some good tasty ham.

Hope you like it!

you know what... if you're just creative or if your budget allows you=== you can serve your better half the best of the best! hahaha!... well i'll go straight to the point...if you really wana serve breakfast to your hubby everyday---you can have a 1 week menu planning ahead of time... but by the moment i've read your question --- why not treat your hubby a delectable hot bowl of instant oatmeal with a fresh slices of watermelons in it. along with that is a choice of fresh brewed coffee... or a glassfull of fresh milk... or a glass of fruit juice of your choice! you can also have/serve a large piece of banana aside from that... and there are extra sweet things you can do to make this simple-healthy breakfast treat extra special---how??? grab a serving tray you can find, arrange the bowl of hot oatmeal-his fav'rite morning beverage, and the banana or whatever fruit you wana serve to him... tuck a long-stemmed rose somewhere in the tray and serve this in bed... VOILA- BREAKFAST IN BED! note:if a fresh long-stemmed rose is nowhere to be found... you can opt an artificial flower you can have at this moment...
