Sorry about that, I live and work near O'Hare airport( Chicago) and its not how many miles you drive but when you drive them...I start at 3 am and get out of work almost everyday at 11:30 am.
We have a small tv in our break room and the travel times I see during rush hour (understatement) are well over an hour to go 20 miles. If you can't stand the commute then change the time you commute in. I wish that the state and local government made it to where not everyone starts at the same time. Draw a four or five ringed target over a map of the most congested cities and determine a start time in which the inner circle starts one hour earlier then the next outer circle and so on and so on.I used to work in another suburb and we had three plants that all got out at 3:30 pm, and the village made two of our plants start one hour earlier then the larger one. Made sense to me. I will never take a job that starts anytime after 5 am , only if I could walk to work would I consider a 9 to 5'er and thats not the safest thing to do with our goofy weather.

good luck...

If I have to drive to work right now in Seattle, WA, I usually arrive very early in the morning so the traffic isn't that bad but the later it gets the pretty bad. In the afternoon is just pretty much sucks soI am glad that my commute will be changing soon.
