I think Hitler was worse, since he killed at least 6 million people, whereas Pontius Pilate was just a local governor who was trying to keep the peace, weak though he was. He wanted to keep the peace so much, that he released a murderer to the Jews in exchange for an innocent man just to shut the people up. He was afraid of rebellion. His judgment of Christ was just; he found Him innocent, and, if he had just had the huevos, he would have released Him.

Hitler. Pontius Pilate didn't want to do what he had to do, but he had to prevent a riot/rebellion. Hitler believed in what he did.

Hitler. He planned and led a mass murder that killed over 11 million people for no reason other than he did not like them.
Pilate was just a minor Roman official doing his job.

at what? Hitler was a worse person/ruler. What did Pilate do that was so bad?

But I bet Pilate was a worse orator. Hilter was the bomb at manipulating the masses with his words....sorta like a preacher.

Hitler. But God is worse than either. He allows people to go to Hell. He drowned babies in the flood, he caused or allowed many other atrocities. Hitler is Mr. Rogers in comparison.

Furthermore, how can Pontius Pilate be bad if he was the one who implemented god's plan for Jesus? Wouldn't he have been bad for opposing god's plan if he didn't kill Jesus?

Hitler - baptized and raised a Christian

Pontius Pilate - pagan

Hitler - started WWII, ordered the Holocaust

Pilate - killed Jesus

I guess the Christian answer would have to be Pilate.

Those of us who can think for ourselves wouldn't have to think hard about this one.

Hitler had better tools, better cooperation and a railroad sytem. Pilate never had a chance.

Hitler, no contest.

The terrorization and attempted extermination of an entire group of people is a bit more horrifying than the death of one man, however good that man.
