Could welcome if you have already noticed the guy and sort of fancy him. Could be because even though you fancy him, it does not mean you necessarily want him to ask you out. If you are just meeting the guy, certainly not. Its either you wonder what the guy takes you for - cheap or something- or an irrirant if he doesn't even catch your fancy.
Women work well with relating ie relationship? Does that ring a bell? Remember it grows. You may just want a friend before you start dating

I like it when he has a specific activity in mind like " let's go see the movie XXXX this weekend" or " I know this great Mexican restaurant, can I take you there for dinner on Wednesday?"
If I guy just says "hey, let's get together soon" I get the impression that they are not serious and do not put any thought into a nice or fun time.

I like it when a guy will come up to me and start a conversation about music. Since I dress dark, they'll normally ask what bands I listen to. Then we'll talk about style and soon he'll move in with compliments on my clothes. Then they give me their number or ask to go get coffee or smoke a cig with them. anything cliche sucks.

Any way a guy ask a girl out is fine.
But personally, the biggest turn on is when it's done sincerely...
plus a rose he's holding behind his back as he walks up to me with that "driving me crazy" look as he say (girl's name) may I have the honour to be your boyfriend?...

I would like a guy to come up to me with a rose and tell him, hey girl, i have been watching u for a while, i like you and i was wondering if you want to go out with me. (It probably will never happen)

Make sure she knows you're serious- she might turn you down if she's afraid it's a joke between you and your friends
