Does doxiciline low down your inmunologic defenses?

I had about a year without getting sick and after a month of taking this I caught a cold...

I am not sure of the spelling so I am going to proceed like it is any anti-biotic.
All anitbiotics are designed to attack the bacteria that got into our systems where they do not belong. The problem is that many bacteria do belong in our systems in various places and the drugs do not know which is which.
If your concern is that there are not enough of the good bacteria in your system you could go to a health food store and ask for pro-biotics. Or you can just help your system by eating healthy, limiting the sugars, and like a pill take 1/2 or 1 clove (not bulb) of garlic to help each day.
