I find that my smokes usually start tasting stale about 3 days after opening them.
But I've had some kinds (like Camel Turkish Golds) that seem to go stale one day after opening them.
I don't think they ever really go "bad", like milk or something. I had a friend that kept an emergency cigarette in her glove box. She smoked it after it had been in there a month, said it was a really nasty tasting smoke, but she didn't get sick from it or anything.

i don't really smoke but when i have a few i do have a cigarette
i open a packet and i Had two months and it did no go bad so maybe after 6 months?

depends what kind of cigarettes you smoke. i had a pack of marlboro red's that i found at the bottom of my closet after like a month maybe? nothing was wrong with it. tasted just fine.

i cant smoke a pack thats been open for more than a day and a half. it tends to have taste of fumes. yucky

They are bad before you open them. Those things will kill you.

I'm not sure but just to be safe I think I would sit down and smoke one after another until they were all gone just so they wouldn't go to waste. ;)
