Because we fear them. May be after all these centuries of our exploitation of women we feel we deserve a revenge from them, and may be that feeling make us feel uncomfortable, and may be we deserve it. and that provokes rejection to us about the idea of they having power. Let state than we men, did not made a nice work with this world trought the last 50 centuries. Millions of deaths, war every were, pain, destruction, suffering, drugs, starvation. May be women could make of this a much better world, I am sure of that, the only problem is ¿Which will our place?. May be we men have reasons of a deeper an instinctual source, in which case we wouldn't be necessarily wrong. You have made a too much serious question, there is no simple answer to that. Please accept my opinion and excuse my english.

Maybe you should meet some better men? This has not been my experience with most men's views.

Also, most candidates are 45+, so they represent an older generation of success (fewer women were graduating college with politically-relevent ambitions 25 years ago). So it's just a statistical kind of thing. The people in college NOW, who are much more diverse, will not make their political impact for another 20+ years.

There are also many other positions of political power held by women - the presidency is just one office. It's not like we don't have women in other offices and in the supreme court. Maybe they didn't WANT to be president - not everyone in politics does.

Hillary is 59 this year, she started college 42 years ago. She got herself a nice little law degree in the 60's before she even married Bill - how many women did that back then? How many women set themselves up to be where she is NOW?

I guess in the U.S., it would be a history in the making to have a woman as president. I don't know if most guys are against having a woman as president. It would probably be unusual for them because a woman reached the high level of power in the government. You know that there are other countries in the world that have or had women as the country's leader.

In the patriachal system, women were considered to be the male's possession. And in some countries, it's still that way. But since we are living in the modern world, a lot of effort as been made to for women to get where they are now.

It isn't just men that are against women for president, and stereotyping as such makes you just as bad as you assume the men are. I, for one, am female, but do not believe our nation is ready for a female president. AND, even if we were...it better not be Hillary.
