Are kids grades higher if they have a dog?

Regular exercise supposedly promotes health, and aids in learning.
IF the kids play with the dog, take it for walks, etc. then the follow-on of higher grades sounds logical.

I don't know if that is true, but we always had a dog and my children were always at the top of their class.My children started to attend college at 13 to 14 yrs old.
