I'm growing my natural color in and have received quite a few negative comments. Are we so youth oriented that if a person is premature gray we are considered old and used up?

One of the absolutely most attractive looks is someone with a youthful face and prematurely gray hair. So strikingly noticeable for men and women. In the case of my aunt, I never thought of her as old because I'd just say, "Oh no, she's just prematurely gray."---even when she actually had grown old! Find some of that purple shampoo to make the gray hair look that gorgeous color, with no hint of yellow or off-color. People who color their hair wind up with a very hard, and yes-old- look to their faces.

Unfortunately, yes. I started getting gray hairs when I was 17. So I dye it to keep it in line with my age. Human beings are very visual creatures - so they place a lot of emphasis on outward appearances (especially true in the U.S.).

Determine which is more important to you: being exactly as you are or - dying your hair to your true and natural color. Do what makes you feel the happiest, then feel good about your decision.

Best wishes!

Unfortunately yes. It is a youth and hair coloring culture. Unless you are very firm about it, you might want to color yours til you are 90.

Yes, unfortunately. I'm sorry. If you're male, it's slightly more culturally acceptable to be gray than a female. It really shouldn't be that way.
