Has a rash that starts in the inner thigh area and then goes up to his little (sack) area but then when it gets there it turns into little blisters and is very painful for him when I get him out of the tub after letting him soak all of the Desitin and baby powder off?? This is the very first rash he has ever had.

I think rashes can indicate any number of things with or without the accompany of other symptoms, particularly in children that age. The fact that its not just a small rash, that it turns into blisters and there is pain means you should just take him to the pediatrician as soon as possible.

It is possible he has a yeast infection. If he's in pull-ups it could be an alergic reaction to those....it's a doctor call. Especially if the Desitin isn't helping...My daughter had a rash like that once...and ended up a yeast infection. The doctor had to prescribe a cream. Make sure the baths are somewhat lukewarm, and no bubbles until it's gone.

Wow, that could be anything from an reaction to his diapers and/or the powder/cream -- to an allergy to something he ate or got into. Call his doctor and get him seen. Just keep him clean and dry till then -- I would leave OFF the Desitin & Powder till the Dr. sees him.

It sounds to me like a yeast infection, believe it or not boys can get them too, use cornstartch it will help to dry up the blisters! and Good Luck, you may also want to check in to a possible food allergy.

Take him to the doctor, it most likely nothing major and he needs some Rx medication to put on it. Prompt care type places are open late on Fridays so you should get what you need to keep him comfortable for the weekend.

Sounds like a yeast infection. Take him to the doctor. I was told by my doctor when my kids were younger not to use cornstach. It feeds the yeast infection. Making it worse
