It could be anything from $1000 to a million dollars, depending on where you live and how extravagant you go.

If you are a member at a Church, they will sometimes waive any fee, but will expect a donation to the church and a tip to the minister.

Reception prices really depend on what you want (The YMCA vs. the Ritz) and dinner will also depend on where you are and how over the top you go. It could be anything from $25 a head to $300 a head, and up. Don't forget to account for tax & tip - they can change an estimate hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars.

Hosted bars (and its TACKY to make your guests pay for drinks) can be done per drink or per person. I think we paid just under $20 a person for our bar.

DJs are more expensive in urban areas - We paid around $750 for a DJ in the San Francisco area. And he was A TON cheaper than some of the other ones we had looked at.

Again, flowers depends on how much you want. You could do no flowers except a single rose for you and it would be about $5.00 from your local flower shop. Or, you could coat EVERYTHING in flowers for $30K.

Your best bet is to start calling around and getting rough quotes. Plan your budget from there. And remember, while this is your wedding, your guests much be treated as such. This means taking care of each and every person who is taking time out of their lives to witness your event. Thank them for honouring you. : )

ok well im a cypriot and i live in the uk, our weddings like many other cultures tend to be a little big and over the top. i think in the end the wedding cost near the £30,000 mark, which is relatively cheap compared to some. this is because you tend to have about 600 guests. all the cypriot community and work friends etc. you pay for the venue, a sit down 4 course meal, allll the alcohol which usually consists of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks.the entertainment and all the other things like flowers, bridesmaid dresses etc etc. weddings are very expensive and if i had the chance again i would have much rather taken a few choice friends and family abroad somewhere and just tied the knot that way, i thinks its a huge waste of money but i know our parents wanted to do this for us. shop around for things like venue, especially florists they can cost so much money. you could hire your partners suit. actually most things are available to hire now. you could have a buffett for the after party which will be cheaper than a meal. can u give us a few more details about yourself. then maybe we can offer some more help. it also depends where u live. like are u in the uk. wedding dresses in most bridal shops cost around £500 upwards. thats not including tiaras shoes veils. like i said give us some more info. bottom line is weddings can be expensive.

There's really no way to answer that. I did my wedding for 90 guests for under $3000 (dress and rings included). But, that was a very low budget wedding. It depends on how fancy you want to go... are you going to do something low cost like a VFW/Knights of Columbus hall, or a high end catering hall/country club? Flowers can be done cheaply if you make your own centerpieces and bouquets. Our church was donation based - no set fee.

It would be hard to do it under $5000. A wedding that size would cost about $10K for most people.

As someone said, you can cut a lot of corners by having your reception in a simple place like a VFW hall.

If you have an army of supportive friends and family willing to put in some sweat equity, you can have one closer to the 5K end.

The cost of the place you rent for the reception and the type of reception can make it vary greatly (alchol$$$)

$2000-$5000 is a decent estimate

I'm guessing your not just cake and mints in the church basement since you mentioned a DJ

It depends on your reception-food, booze, etc...
My wedding for 55, sit-down dinner, booze included, flowers, etc.. was about $5,000.00
We saved a lot of money by getting anyone we knew to help out. My brother-in-law who is a photographer, did our pictures, my uncle video-taped the wedding, when I ordered my cake and flowers, I didn't use the word "wedding". Our cake was a beautifully made cake, which we decorated with flowers. Be creative to cut down on your costs.
Have a wonderful wedding!

We did ours with 95 people for a little over $5000. (like $5100-5200) That includes the dress though which was almost $1000 with alterations. We got most of our stuff (cake top, taira, veil, attendant gifts) from www.customweddingsolutions.com. THey were WONDERFUL! So many items in one easy to work with place.

I suggest visiting online website for price comparison such as

http://www.weddinglenox.com ,weddingvendors.com ,onewed.com

Unlike most yellow pages, they have detailed comparison for vendors (DJ,videographer, florist, and photographer) you can choose.

One problem I had with my wedding is that it is hard to locate vendors in most website as most likely they group by states and there are too many of them that are too far from me and I have to look at each site to figure out.

I like weddinglenox as they have an easy to use layout to show you pictures, pricing and location in one page, plus you can send out your inquiry for matching vendor to contact you. That saves me lots of time to locate the best vendors with the right price.

10,000 the most. But its going to depend on the what kind of flowers and decorations your going to be using at the reception. But it shouldnt cost you any more than 10,000 and at least 5,000
