How do you know if god is talking to you or if your just insane?

maybe if they hear a voice saying help the homeless its god if its a voice saying kill your mother and rape your dog they are insane

Look at it the other way around.
A LOT more people don't hear God at all but are still talking to him every day. Isn't THAT a lot more insane ?
If you hear voices, you could at least test what they are saying, try to talk back to see if they respond or if they are only repetitive voices. But at least you would have a good excuse to talk to yourself and that is that you heard something in the first place.
I find all those Christians much more insane, because they talk to God like if he was there and listening, yet they themselves NEVER ever heard a thing.

Well the will of the Lord is ALWAYS good, pleasant and perfect God will never tell you anything agains his wisdom he's smart and my best friend by the way also mature enough to know what he should let you know; however you need to be aware of deamons in angels of light's desguise.. well also going to a christian church will help, you know cause Jesus said that his sheeps hear his voice and recognize it so being close to a place where he is sure to speak at will train our ears better ALWAY.. Ok

If you think God is telling you to dye your cat's fur green. That is not from God. If you think He is telling you go beat up your neighbour for playing his music to loud, that is not God. If you are married and you think God is saying divorce your husband/wife so you can get together with the nice person you met last night, that is not God. He will never go against His own laws. If you had a fight with your best friend and you think it is over. If God tells you to go to them and apologize maybe treat them to dinner, that is God. Everything must line up with His nature and His word.

God won't talk to you so if your hearing voices or seeing things then your going crazy

i wish their were more "insane" saints (assisi, etc...) to make this world a kinder place....how do you KNOW what they experienced was not real????
