(firstly, allow me to apologize if the initial question seems insluting, it is not meant to be.)

Earlier on a question of FAITH, I saw a Christian respond that they KNOW God is real and that he created everything in the universe.

Does not KNOWING this as a fact negate FAITH??
I thought you had FAITH that God is real and created all and answers prayers, etc... So, are you fooling yourselves by claiming that you KNOW this, or are you attempting to fool others with these statements??

Just because someone is a Christian does not make them a scholar. Nor do all Christians get it.

As a matter of fact, don't believe me or any other Christian or person to boot. Use some of our knowledge to gain a personal perspective for yourself.

It is great that you question. Keep doing it. Your question was not insulting but liberating.

If I may, I will try and use my knowledge to answer your question. I think the term KNOW was to say that they believe there is a God. I believe in God but no, science will never be able to say for sure that there is a God.

I don't think there was any malice with their statement. No grand scheme to fool you. It was their relationship with God that they spoke matter a factually to you.

Great question. You keep asking them and find your path. Christianity is about freedom.

I think the answer depends on the definition of faith. The biblical definition is that faith is the evidence of things unseen.

What it really comes down to is that if God is real, and He possesses the attributes standardly attributed to him, including being all-powerful; then an all-powerful God would certainly have the power to transcend human epistemic limitations and give an assurance of His existence. There's no question that if He exists, that He could do this.

So if God truly exists, and has transcended human limitations to place in some people a certainty of His existence, there is no way you could prove or disprove it.

Perfectly okay to know, through faith comes revelation. It is the reason we are Christians and not worshiping the Easter Bunny as Athiest like to point out. Those that seek recive faith and through faith comes revelation and a persoanl relationship with God and does not negate faith without step one there is no other steps.

Well, there comes a point when faith in something is so great, combined with the evidence of your senses, that you "know" that it's true.
Likewise, evolutionists have great faith to believe that the Earth is "millions of years old" even though not a single one of them were there to witness it, and despite evidence to the contrary. We can likewise ask atheists, "How do you KNOW there is no God?" They also have great faith that there is no God, despite evidence to the contrary. Some even say, "I KNOW there is no God." It's just the other side of the coin.
I use both God's testimony and the evidence of my senses to support my belief in His existence. Anything I can't explain, I take on faith, and that is sufficient for me.

Hebrews says, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."

From this definition, it says that WE ARE SURE of what we hope for and CERTAIN of what we do not see. That would have to mean that we claim to know something. There are things in this world that we can know and forms our world view. Faith does not mean discounting evidence and reason. Faith is built upon evidence and past events.

You know that Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas because your teacher told you. Did you have faith that she or he was telling you the truth?
