brother problem?

me and him don't get along mabe its because we have different style or personality. he is like a emo he cuts himself and stuff and i told him to stop. he's so rude he never ever talks about it to me. He's probably depress that are parents split. me and him are totally different i'm a prep and he is emo. do you guys know how i'm going to get along with him and get closer like brother and sister. i'm the only one that is nice to him and he never talks to me.

I know what you mean, but not exactly from the same point of view. Im kinda slit-wrist-emo and have a sister. How old is your brother. If he's in teens probably prefers just to be alone. I hate talking to people at home, only really talk to my mates. My family calls me moody, but being alone is just more relaxing. Your brother probably just dosen't like too much attention and would like it better if you left him alone. You will not get anything out of it, but if you want him to be happier then just leave him alone. He'll probably come and talk to you about any problems he's having at school. I find my sister easier to talk to than adults. She got the message to stop trying to interact with me when I strated getting really moody and chucking stuff and shouting whenever she spoke to me.
We don't get along perfectly, but still alot better than before!

Your brother is going through some major issues right now he's trying to deal with and this is the only way He feels he can get through the pain. You may not understand "emo" Emotionally disturbed.......He needs to get some counselling to get to the root of all the issues he's dealing with* (your parents splitting and other issues)........ To him, his life is nothing and he's not "feeling" anything but pain so cuts to release his pain. Hard to explain on here...You telling him to Stop* just like that...he knows you don't understand what he's going through. Talk to the counseller at school, talk with your parents(if you still talk with your dad) so they can get him the help that he needs. It's nothing to joke around about..I don't want anything to happen to him with his severe depression* He needs Help*~ Stay supportive and tell your parents and school counseller and his doctor*~ GoodLuck*

well me and my brother don't get along either but he's only 2! well i think it's how life is. but tell your parents he's cuting his wrist and then try to talk to him maybe start with writing him a note or somthing like that or go to the mall and hang out together.

stop criticisizing him and put aside your differences. Just because you two have different life styles and deal with your emotions differently, it doesnt mean that you two will never connect.

maybe you should talk to him about your feelings about the split and talk about how youre dealing with it. talk about anything else that is bothering you in life. let him feel that he is obligated to make you feel good about himself. he'll feel needed and will feel that he could talk to you too.

dont judge and dont hate. be respectful and be honest.

when parents split up they don't realize that the ones that get hurt the most are the kids that are in the middle of it all.sounds to me that you need people to talk to and so does your brother so you picked a good place on here.
