Swanlinbar and the nearby cuilcagh mountains where Irelands longest river the Shannon rises. Close to the border and the market town of Enniskillen. Throw in the available crumpet which is more or less on tap and you will really have a ball.

Try Lough Lannagh village camping in Castlebar Co Mayo. Gateway to the west and not very touristy. Try www. goireland.ie for more info

Don't know what you want from your resort but this county (Kerry) is stunning. There are plenty of towns and Villages, sports and activities, coast and mountains, rivers and lakes, pubs and places to eat.
