that's not a stupid question and hamburger is healthy. For the two that put there 2 cents in you might what to know a little about babies before you cast judgement on someone for asking a perfectly acceptable question. Hamburger IS in one of the food groups.

who are these idiots who have not introduced meat to their babe's diet yet? Hamburger is not greasy depending on what level of lean hamburger you use. There is a difference between a McDonald's hamburger and a homemade meal. I had a grinder and ground everything my family ate at the dinner table to feed the baby. Doesn't any of you idiots know how to drain the grease off the hamburger after you have fried it? some of you are really stupid. As for the dude who feeds his baby beer. he needs to be reported for child abuse. Do not let these kind of people make you feel bad about your question. I am glad you asked.

At 8 months your baby should be eating nearly everything you're eating.. cut up into little bites. You shouldn't be blending up the foods at this point. They need to use their little teeth... And having a constant flow of new flavors and textures will be an adventure that will lead to good eating habits.
A constant diet of blended, bland, mushed up baby food stifles the adventure.

Hamburger...there is alot of grease when hamburger is cooked. Try boiling the hamburger and if you fry it, be sure to strain and rinse it. I suppose it would be alright to feed it but you should be asking wether or not it is a healthy choice.
Be sure to supervise our child while eating hamburger as it is very crumbly and it can lead to choking.

Yes! It's a good source of iron and protein which babies need a lot of. Unless for some reason your babies doctor says other wise....such as an allergy or something.

If you could do it where it isnt to greasy. Or use GROUND TURKEY because that is healthier. Hamburger tends ot be a little greasy though so I dont know if I would recommend it
