My hubby and I make pizza at home all the time. We use turkey pepperoni to reduce the fat/grease and since it's home-made we can also limit the amount of cheese we put on or use a low-fat cheese. We buy a crust mix in a bag that you mix yourself by adding water and that makes a nice thin crust so you don't load up on a bunch of excess carbs from too much crust. Plus, if you use and Italian blend of spices like oregano and basil to "doctor it up" you won't even notice it's not as fattening for you as the delivery stuff. In fact, I love our home-made pizza best. If you have kids, let the kids help you make it . . . it's lots of fun to do!

1 jar pizza sauce
favorite pizza veggies
favorite pizza meat(s)
mozzarella cheese
Italian cheese mix
Boboli pizza crust

Thinly slice veggies. Cover crust with 3-4 tablespoons of pizza sauce (one jar will make ~4 pizzas). Layer meat and then veggies on top of sauce. Take care to place wet veggies like tomatoes on or near the top of the pizza. The closer they are to the crust the more likely they are to make the crust soggy. Cheese can be added throughout the layers, just be sure to save a handful or more for the top.

Bake at 450°F for 15-18 minutes.

Oh, come on! Pizza and healthy in the same sentence? LOL
Just go easy on the cheese and fatty toppings. About as healthy as you'll get. And don't use a white sauce. You could do a whole wheat crust.

If your serious about healthy, then go to your local grocery store and buy all organic veggies. Light on the oils, but use a bit on olive oil on top. You can say what you want, but organic will not have the chemicals sprayed on them while being grown.

Look for a low fat cheese and even an organic tomato sauce.

Good cooking
