I'm currently looking for colleges and am interested in pharmaceuticals and engineering. Can anyone lend an idea to help me decide and start on a good path?

That is an interesting question, because I am an Electrical Engineer and my Wife is a Pharmacist. I like engineering because I like the challenge of it, and understanding how things work , and designing and building circuits. My wife enjoys her Pharmacy career because she likes chemistry, medicine, and helping people.

The courses of study, careers, and lifestyles are very different. Both are quite challenging, with pharmacy being chemistry and biology heavy, and engineering being math and physics heavy.

You should evaluate how you came to put these two on your list.
(BTW, it is possible to combine the two in applied chemical engineering.)

Based on comments from a friend who is a pharmacist, it seems repetitive, with little or no opportunity to be creative. If you don't get along well with people, you would want to avoid retail pharmacy.

Engineering on the other hand could alow for creative thinking and actions.
