My friend Bill was in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend, they also shared an apartment together. He ended up moving out because he said she couldn't control her anger/temper and would want to put her hands on him, etc. Why in the world then would he still booty-call her even though he says he has no intentions on ever marrying her? Is this just a man thing or something?

Nobody never said that she wasn't still good for sex! Apparently that part he can still deal with until he finds a new partner then eventually he will move on.

Frankly I think he's mostly just being self-destructive. Look ... if she was physically abusive to him, and yet he's willing to hang around her at all (for booty call or not), then he's addicted to the prospect of pain.
After all, a black widow is likely to eat her mate after the mating is finished! If he only wanted a healthy sex-only thing, he could choose someone else; someone who is less likely to chew his head off when he tries to let her go for good.
No, this is a DRAMA thing for him.

Bill saves a lot of money by getting his needs satisfied and KNOWS that it's safer than finding a prostitute to do the deed.
