i don't know i just go to bed and 10 minutes i am asleep. if i can't sleep i get up and read or study. then try again. i never stay in bed and just wait. so use the bed to sleep if you can sleep do something like read. so your body will know that when you go to bed you sleep. make a routine watch TV, Y/A or read then get ready for bed. sometimes the routine helps

It usually takes me 4 hours to get to sleep.. and I'm really tired during the day, but I don't go to sleep.. but then I'm wide awake at night..

But lately i've realized that watching a movie makes me go to sleep. Just have the volume low and pick a movie u have already seen, and duh have the lights off.. Because a faint sound will relax u and u dont want a new movie cause then you will want to watch it. Reading also helps.. hehe. Before you go to bed, drink a glass of water. Make sure your room is comfortable.. and wala! you should fall asleep. :]

I'm bad with sleeping.. I'm suppose to go to bed at 10:30 and I lay in bed til 2:30 and I have to get up at 6:00 .. not healthy for school :[

Well I hope this helps you..

your falling asleep earlier than most. It usually takes about 2 hours to fall asleep that is without sleeping disorders. if your actually falling asleep at about 10:30 and getting up between 6 and 7 you are getting the preferred amount of rest.

Try going to bed at 8, so you'll be asleep by 9-9:30

Don't take naps. Don't drink caffeine. Make sure it is as dark and as quiet as possible. Don't sleep in too late on the weekends. Your weekend sleep schedule should not be too much different from the rest of the week.

Also, exercising during the day helps, but don't exercise right before bed. Right before bed you should be doing something relaxing like reading. TV is OK as long as the show you are watching is relaxing and does not make you tense.

A horror flick is probably not a good choice right before bed if you have problems sleeping.

Hi,the best thing you can do is to read a VERY BORING BOOK and most of the time you ll be so bored you ll have no trouble falling asleep,or tighten all your muscles starting from your feet ,then your legs, and your thighs and so forth and so on,loosen them as you go along remember dont tightenthem too much. I hope this works for you. Jan

Well, do you feel sleepy at 9:30 or not? If you do, just go to sleep at 8:30. If you don't, that could be a sign of DSPS. Google it. It's not a harmful condition but can be a nuisance because there is no 'cure'. I have it.

Speaking for myself, less than three mins. I work a during the day and with family I'm busy so by the time my head hits the pillow I'm out pretty quick!

maybe getting excersize during the day/afternoon will help and reading before bed seems to work too!

Get more fresh air and exercise in the daytime. Don't drink anything with caffeine after lunch time. Don't eat anything heavy after 6PM. Use lavender soap, shampoo, incense, candles, etc., and drink Chamomile tea at night--both of these are relaxing, and may help you to fall asleep earlier (don't forget to blow candles and incense out) :)
