I am not sure I understand your question...but if u r asking what function does the Holy Spirit have in Bible study?
Then, the answer is Every and all function.
The Holy Spirit should be welcomed and received. He should lead the worship, the study, the prayer, the fellowship, and all other functions.
He is "Our Helper" sent from Up Above. He helps us and leads us, makes intercessory prayer for us. He is a direct link, and should be utilized to his highest capacity.
I hope you and the other ladies will take full advantage of what he has to offer...

Holy Spirit works in a totaly diferent ways other then what people normaly will think it does, Holy Spirit wont make you talk in other lenguage, or it wont make you jump from your chair like if you have been under it's posetion, a lot of religions make people belive that Holy Spirit make you say thinks and act diferent that you normaly will, well that is abosolutly no true, if you think it is, i will like you to prove it to me Using YOUR Bible. If you want to see how Holt Spirit works, you have to ask for it on a personal pray to God, in a Holy way, that is way is called HOLY SPIRIT, it is Holy and you have to act Holy when asking for it, if you realy want to know what the Bible teaches you pray and ask God to use hes Holy Spirit to guide you to know or to understand the Bible, i have a lot of information base on the Bible if you want me to send it to your email, send me an email and i will send you the info free. It is very inportat to know what God what us to know about hem. (John 17:3 ; Psalms 51:11; Matthew1:18, 3:11, 12:32; Luke 3:22; John 14:26; Acts2:4, 11:16, 20:28; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Ephesians 4:30; Hebrews 6:4; 2 Peter 1:21. Reas all this on your Bible.

the Holy Spirit should function by leading the group and using those who study the Scriptures to follow Him.

I agree with the third answer you have there. The Holy Spirit is there to guide and help us to pray and do the functions of the study group.
The Holy Spirit also is there to maintain control of the group so that things will remain a study and not get sidetracked.

The Holy Spirit will do what He pleases for the glory of God. I think the question could be rephrased to, "How can I make room for the work of the Holy Spirit?"
In that case, give time for people to ask questions and talk about the subject. Also give time for worship and prayer allowing people to communicate from the heart without fear or judgement.

You can't be possessed, or indwelt by a demon when you have Christ within. BUT we can be harrassed by demons. Be sure a Christian can and may be a target. Look at Job! Resist those attacks by remembering that God is pleased with you IN CHRIST. And Christ alone. We always will be "screw-ups" from time to time. Look at Peter- one of the 12--- he screwed up big time. God loves us. David screwed up a lot. But he just clung to God. Just remember you ARE a child of God and he never lets go of you. I sure hope you can get a chance to go read some of Mr. Charles Haddon Spurgeons sermons! OH I have been where you are right now. And Mr. Spurgeons' sermons were a great great blessing to me, to return my focus on God's full and total grace.

How? If invited the Holy Spirit will be felt by those in attendance who are spiritually sensitive enough to feel His presence and promptings.

By leading the Bible study and speaking through those who talk and study the scriptures---That is why we must pray before we open God's word that He would speak to us through His word and give us wisdom...that we hear what He wants to teach us and not our own opinions. But the Holy Spirit teaches us all truth- as we study the word and rely on God's spirit to teach us.
Psalm 25:5
guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Psalm 51:6
Surely you desire truth in the inner parts ; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
Psalm 86:11
Teach me your way, O LORD, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

The holy spirit should prompt, but never demand or force. Something like your consience, but with concern for your person.
