Ok I was with ex when everything started. Her best friend at the time started flirting with me and hitting on me and I told my ex at the time we were together that shes not the type of friend she should want to be around. Well she didnt listen to me and yea I did something to stupid and fool around with her best friend while i was wasted and yeah she dumped me and now her best friend is her ex best friend. Ever since then her ex best friend has still been trying to get with me and the other day she told me she was in love with me. I dont get it why do girls do that to each other? What should I do?

I never know exactly why some girls do this kind of stuff. My guess is that it's kinda how human psychology works sometimes. When a girl has a best friend & is really close to her, then suddenly the best friend's got something really good going in her life (a high-profile job that pays great salary, a nice & expensive house for a steal, a really sweet & good-looking boyfriend, etc), then the girl starts envying the best friend...especially when the girl herself doesn't really have any exciting great thing going on in her life. So, of course, since she can't own that good thing that's going on in her best friend's live, she tries to ruin it...so they can become "equal" friends again, where nobody is better, richer or luckier than the other.

Have you seen the movie "Envy", with Ben Stiller & Jack Black in it? That would be my guess. Or..maybe your ex's best friend felt that she was prettier, nicer, & better in many ways than your ex, so she felt that she deserved to be liked better by just about any guy?

Or...maybe your ex was the type who liked to brag about how good you were, etc, to the best friend, so the best friend became interested /infatuated with you?

Tell the ex best friend no. Speak up and tell her she's not your type. Woman get like it depending on the friendship. man can be the same. Just tell the ***** to back away.

it's the thrill of the hunt... women like to prove they can get anyone they want. don't do it unless you want to be in the middle of a girl fight... because ex friend or not, it will happen
