why do jews think they are the chosen people of god? they claim god told them they were special. thats why they have always acted so arrogant towards goyim (non-jews).
Witness their new apartheid laws.
No jew may marry a non-jew. If you marry an arab you get banished from israel and sent to the west bank to live with the arabs.
if a jew marries a non-jew who is not arab, the new spouse will never be allowed to take out israeli citizenship. And I think their children may also be considered non-israelis as well (not positive about that).
witness their new holocaust law. Its is now illegal to deny the holocaust.
2 things -
1 the holocaust was 60 years ago and most of us alive today were not involved, and yet they still want us to pay for it. They choose to NOT forgive and forget.
2 - I dont deny the holocaust - I just deny the 6 million number.
doesnt that put them above all other religions? in their opinion yes it does, makes them a very arrogant people, so glad I am not a jew,

The expression "The Chosen People" was actually given to the Jews by the Christians as a result of their misunderstanding what the Torah said.
If you read Genesis 24, 3... (When Moses went and told the people all of the Lord's words and laws they responded with one voice, "Everything the Lord said we will do.") God gave the choice to the Hebrews to accept His Law or not, and THEY made the choice. (Free will: we may choose to do right or not, God does not choose for us.)
Anyone who chooses to accept God's Law (Torah) becomes one of the group. Or using the erroneous logic that created the expression, anyone can become one of "The Chosen People" if they just make the right choice.

The true Jew is God's chosen people. The Bible says so. The problem is that the Jews rejected the Messiah God sent to them. They are no better group of people than anyone else. God loves the Baptist and the Catholic and the Atheist as much as He loves the Jews.

NO .We Cherokee are the chosen ones, just because they wrote it down on paper is meaningless, we wrote it on the wall of a sacred cave in the mountains of North Carolina.
.What? darn my friend here said his people wrote down that THEY were the chosen ones inside a pyramid.he is a Mexican.and says his people are here to reclaim there land.
No way!?. darn .a Southern Lady here just said she dug up a gold tablet saying that the future people of the south who would come to this fair land of God.were the chosen ones.It says so right they're on those tablets, darn. God all mighty, who are the real chosen ones?
what?!! God just told me thru his spirit that were ALL the chosen ones, I sure am glad God straightened me out on that.I feel much better now, Thank You God.
OH?God just told me that the only chosen ones will be the ones who ask his Spirit to come into them and listen for the answers to the questions they ask and actually DO Gods will, in this life. Boy oh Boy I sure am glad he straitened me out on this, I had been wondering
also a side note.
if they or the chosen people of God, why do they kill so many innocents people, Good God, they torture children in the Jails in Israel,

you are taking the non-jewish belief about the meaning of "the chosen people" and imposing it on jews and saying its what we believe. in judaism, the idea means that G-d chose a nation to make a covenant with in which we are obligated to fulfill the full 613 commandments of the bible. we don't get any special reward for doing them, and non-jews don't get punished for not doing them. your afterlife as a non-jew is identical to mine.

Being chosen doesn't mean our religion is superior to anyone else's. Judaism does not seek converts because we believe that as long as you are a good person, you have as much a right to Paradise as we do, no matter what you believe.

Because in the Book of Genesis,
1 The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. 2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
The nation of Israel is God's chosen nation to be used as a vessel to bless all the nations on Earth. And they have been; Jesus came from the nation of Israel to die for all the sins on Earth to bring us to God.

I don't think God would do the rest of us that way, so in my opinion, they deemed themselves the chosen people, and put it in the bible as a Revelation or whatever.
