The Buddha practically demands that we never take his word on faith... ever, but rather "test them like gold" on your own through analytical meditation and study. I question my beliefs all the time and always find the Buddha's correct... nothing new, nobody's been able to refute the logic and philosophy for thousands of years.

actually, I do. And beyond being wrong, I actually encourage it.
In my college days I took philosophy of religion and this was a topic that came up in class. Of the theories we discussed, the idea that best suited my vision was that of the "passion of faith."
Here's how it works:
a child is born and is taught about God. Because humans are, by nature, spiritual beings, it is our duty to seek more knowledge about God.
By learning more about God we come closer to arriving at undoubtable proof of God's existance. However, there is a paradox because, as we get closer to realizing the absolute logical proof for God's existance, we also begin to realize that there isn't a way to arrive at such a proof. The more we fulfill our duty to reach for proof and understanding of God, the more we must realize that the proof and understanding are beyond the reach of man.
This point is the doubt, and those who are truly faithful are constantly locked in a struggle which this theory calls the "passion of the faith." This struggle is a sort of trial, a purification to demand more of those who reach out for knowledge, and only by enduring the passion of faith, finding a way to strengthen belief in spite of the inevitable doubt, can one show themselves to be holy.
So, question away, but remember that questioning is nothing more than the slight seperation between the logic that brings you towards God and the existing of a bridge directly to God. It is good to struggle with that doubt because it will only make you better for passing through it.

I became a bible student 44 years ago to question every belief and see what the bible has to say.
I do believe the bible.
As for that which seems bad, Gen.8:21; The imaginations of man's heart is evil from his youth.
Man is difficult to deal with.

in my opinion,it can be dangerous to never question one's own beliefs. I question most of mine. There are some absolutes though that come from the gut level/instinct and those, I trust as truth. Example, To protect a child from any sort of abuse, To serve...

It wouldn't be wrong. It would be excellent.
But no I don't. I will say that I try to keep an open mind, but there's NO way I'm going to actively try to prove that there IS a god. At least, not the one I grew up with.
I mean, ugh! Who would want that critter back in their lives?
Now, I'm not AFRAID that I could prove it, but there is a danger that you could fall back under the spell. This would not be proof of god, it would be more like caving in to fear and mass hypnotism. And it would be dangerous.

I started questioning when I was 15 and didnt stop till I was 30.
Thats how long it took me to shake off the shackles of the brainwashing I grew up with.

My religion encourages the questioning of beliefs so it wouldn't be wrong. I just find that my beliefs really make sense to me so I haven't had much reason to question them.

I don't, if you are speaking of religious beliefs, because I am not religious. If I was, and I questioned it, it wouldn't be "wrong" or "right", it would just be something I did.

Yes. Just the other day I was thinking...maybe there is a god. Maybe I should classify myself as an agnostic. But the more I thought about it the more I realized that I just couldn't accept that a god made our universe. I have no idea how the universe came to be but I don't believe it was intelligently designed.
