I think unless you have a genetic defect or injury that deforms or disfigures you, plastic surgery is a ridiculous shame.
How horrible and twisted is a society that deems some concept of "beauty" off of a narrow pathetic and incorrect view of reality, so much so that women (and some men) become so poor in self-concept that they feel they NEED to resort to INVASIVE, dangerous, surgical procedures to meet such nonsense?
REALITY CHECK, people get old, bodies deteriorate and die, skin thins out, gravity takes over... real beauty is in accepting this with a calm mind and living without fear.

I dont see why it would be a sin, there is nothing wrong with wanting to look your best. what is a sin is vanity, (which by the way is one of the seven deadly sins). that is, if you are obsessed with your appearance and you care more about what you look like than your neigbours suffering or you love yourself so much that you put yourself above others and even God.
But plastic surgery itself could never be a sin, because even if there was no plastic surgery, and you are vain you will find another way to reflect that vanity, such as being obsessive about having the latest fashion, best jewelry and make-up, those things would take precedence in your life. And then you would still still be sinning.
Plastic surgery is one of those things that should be taken i moderation :)

I dont have self belief its a sin via fact god could have given us our bodies, yet he additionally gave us a innovations of our very own and we are the only ones which could make judgements , which administration our lives. So asserting its a sin is like asserting god is limiting what we can and cant do to our bodies. If having implants is going to make an insecure female greater confidant in herself, no be counted how superficial it ought to sound, whose to choose? I advise i do think of getting plastic surgical treatment is extremely unnatural and that i might by no skill evaluate doing it myself, yet i might by no skill choose somebody who had the desire to do it. It doesnt be counted what the reason being, whether somebody is gloomy with their nostril and feels that its the source of all of their insecurities, the reason being beside the point. each and every guy for his very own.

I suppose it depends on the situation. If it's for a non-medical reason, and the person is just vain, it could be considered a sin. God made us the way we are for a reason, and if He wanted us to all look like Barbie dolls, I suppose He would have made us look like that.

I go back and forth on this. I think it depends on each persons heart.
I think some people honestly will never be happy with themselves and for those, I think that its a sin as much as being an alcoholic or drug addict to numb the pain.
Others - Im not so sure.

i feel, it is not a sin, but it certainly doesn't help you. if its cosmetic, then you are making yourself fake and as asuch, you will be seen as fake. There is a reason God made people with messed up noses, bags under their eyes, and such. Most of the cosmetic problems people face are their own doing. God created us how we wanted us to be. I wouldn't change myself for the world.

That is such bull. Plastic surgery didn't even exist during biblical times. Stop this nonsense. Just because you believe it to be morally wrong, does not make it a sin!

Anything done with ignorance is sin.
So you can use your wisdom to judge all your actions. You cannot judge other people, because you don't know the motives behind their actions. As you say, plastic surgery may be good or bad depending on your intention.
The source of wisdom is the fear of God.

Even if I believed in the same kind of sin you do, I would not believe it to be a sin.
Regardless of religious differences, though, I believe it's usually a cryin' shame.
