how do you resize an animated image and keep it animate?

I want to edit a button for my xanga but it is 81x35 and i want it 81x31;; when i edited it it's animation stop playing but my original one still plays but it is the wrong size

I am assuming you are referring to an animated .GIF formated file. Animated GIFs are actually a series of images superimposed over one another, thus it takes specific software to modify them. You should be able to find a free animated GIF program, or try a site such as www.gifworks.com
