I REALLY wanted you to know that you can EASILY never have to deal with another horrible, awful, nasty cold-sore for the rest of your life!!

I got them every winter my whole life until 3 years ago (I'm 36 now) and they were the BANE of my existence...the whole process took weeks to heal and would leave a scar for at least 2 months sometimes!

I was reading a message board on www.curezone.org and discovered the PERFECT remedy for both healing them and preventing them completely:
OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT
http://curezone.com/foods/oliveleaf.html

So, I buy the liquid tincture by "HerbPharm" and it has not failed me ONCE...Whenever I'm feeling drained, tired, stressed, or get that tingly feeling on my lip, I just load up on this stuff.

This is the one I buy: http://www.myvitanet.com/olleafex1ozh.html

You can also get Olive Leaf at Whole Foods Market, and other natural food stores.

Very cheap.

The first time I tried it, I was actually halfway into a major eruption and I drank a bunch of the extract in some water.
AS I WAS DRINKING the stuff down, I could feel the swelling on my lip shrinking...I was in such shock--I ran to the mirror--it was shrinking before my eyes and within ten minutes my lip had returned to NORMAL...I began kissing the bottle of Olive Leaf...yeah, I really did!!

I had tried everything in the past...I can't begin to tell you the WARS I had with these evil sores!

Well, I can finally say: I WON !!!

*I posted this earlier for another asker, so I'm copying and pasting the info that applies here....
I googled how to get rid of a cold sore and cold sore remedies to see if there's a quick way to get rid of one, but the amount of tips were a little overwhelming, so I posted some websites for you to check out. I did think this was really interesting (even though your cold sore may have already developed blisters by the time you read this, I still think it's worth a shot) :

"As soon as you feel a cold sore emerging, rub an ice cube over the area for ten minutes three times a day, suggests Agatha Thrash, M.D., a medical pathologist and co-founder and co-director of Uchee Pines Institute, a natural healing center in Seale, Alabama. If you treat the cold sore early on, you may be able to prevent it from erupting, according to Dr. Thrash."
http://www.mothernature.com/Library/Bookshelf/Books/21/82.cfm

Put the ice cube in a sandwich bag or a couple of paper towels. Try not to touch the sore; use a q-tip instead. Don't use vaseline or something across your lips or around your lips when you have a sore since that might spread it. And throw out your toothbrush, chapsticks, etc. after you get one to avoid reinfection. And don't feel bad. According to these websites, most people are infected with the virus that causes cold sores. It's just that a certain number of people have symptoms.

Some of the recommendations I found include natural remedies, otc products as well as presciption medicines. If you decide to try an over-the-counter product, try reading reviews at places like amazon and eopinions.com to help you make a decision. I hope this was helpful. Good luck.

Abreva can shorten the duration some but there is really nothing that will make it go away overnight. Be sure to remember not to share drinking glasses or eating utensils with anyone and don't kiss anyone or you will spread the virus.

First keep your hands off it or you can spread it on your face and to other people. There is an OTC called Abrevia that works. Also plain old SALT applied twice a day like you would a cream to cover a zit.
