Eating soil is dangerous as it can give you nasty parasites for one thing plus there is a risk of mental defects in the unborn child. The mother can get minerals from mineral supplements - best to choose one that is made specifically for pregnancy.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...as the saying goes, which basically just says different people have different opinions. Some like it one way others another way. Some will like pale skin others will love darker or dark skin. There are a lot of pale skinned people who spend hours in the sun or on tanning beds to get a good dark tan. Also remember that the standard of beauty changes over time. What is really beautiful today may not be so in 100 years! Like when there was a time when plump women were in vogue, but today everyone is trying to be waif-like!

NO it is not, and I would be concerned that it would make her ill, there are a lot of bacteria in soil.

A baby's beauty and skin colour is determined by her genes, and no amount of soil will change her genetic make-up.

If you're asking if your craving for soil or clay is something your body is telling you to do to make your baby pretty, then no.

What you're experiencing is a condition called Pica... usually harmless, and all its indicating is that you're lacking some mineral and you're body is trying to get you to fulfill this lack. Take a good prenatal vitamin and mention it to your doctor at your next visit.

No no no. Soil, whether for gardening or just in your backyard, could have pesticides in it. Many pesticides could cause babies to have mental issues.
