my bf and i went shopping last night. and i was like "baby, can i get this or that or whatever it is i wanted" you know?
he was like "boo, get what you want"

the only reason i asked was because it's "our" money not just mine you know?

it's our money because he gave me his pay check to cash and i cashed mine the same day and he told me to hold on to all of the money so it was with me incase i needed anything and he wasn't around

No I dont think that its to weird, my wife and I ask each other that all the time if we are shopping together. it just shows respect and thoughtfulness on your part.

I don't think it's wrong of you to ask but think does he ask you when he buys stuff. If so then everything is fine and you have nothing to worry about. If not then I would re-think about asking and do for yourself you work just as hard as him! Good luck :)

Honey if you are not married then it is NOT "our" money it is YOUR money! Yours is yours and his is his, period.
