I think the angel is telling John not to push Christianity on the unbelievers but to let them continue because the Lord is coming soon and will judge those who are holy and those who are not. Nothing that they say or do will change what is to come. That's my 2 cents worth.

Honestly---this goes along with how everything has been made for a purpose even the wicked for the day of evil -Proverbs 16:4
I know many do not want to hear that, because it brings about the "that is unfair" business. BUT this does not mean God doesnt' want the gospel shared to all mankind- for many will hear it and receive it- and be saved. Those during that time in Revelation it speaks of- who sin, will continue to sin- and those that do right in God's eyes shall continue to do right in His eyes. It speaks of Jesus' coming- and how this will be during that time....many will be living in sin when he comes- and many will be serving Him when He comes....the world will still be as it is- and just as Jesus says "He is coming like a thief in the night" --so many will be surprised at His coming- living as if He did not exist.

That we are who we are. This life is a test. We are here to prove ourselves. Our loyalty to God, our love, our ability to choose the right versus the instant, etc. We are not here to prove ourselves to God, but to ourselves. God already knows. But if He were to have said (prior to the war in heaven, where we all chose whether we would follow God or follow Lucifer), "I know you. I know what you will choose, and because I know this I will judge you now and not let you see for yourself how you will choose." And then He just judged us right then and there, and it was all done in the blink of an eye, then don't you think we would feel cheated? Don't you think there would be some sort of revolt? Think about when you were a kid and some authority figure (parent, teacher, principal, Drill Sargent) said you did something wrong and you were going to pay the consequences. You didn't know what you did, or didn't understand what you did, you just knew that all of a sudden you were standing in the corner, or getting spanked, or something. Don't you think that after a while you would demand to know why? That's how it was with God. He knew what we would choose, He knew whether we would return to Him or not, but because He loves us - even those that won't return to Him, He allows us to prove ourselves to ourselves, so we will understand when we recieve what we recieve from Him.

At the judgment destiny will be sealed. Sinners will continue to reject God, the righteous will continue to serve Him. All should repent while there is still hope.

I think the next verse puts it into perspective:

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

What God is saying, I believe, is you shall be ultimately judged for your actions, and we as men should not try to stop someone from acting the way they act.

hello i will give you my interpretation of this passage, the condition of the lost will get worse and worse from now to throughout eternity and that righteousness and holiness will continue to be more and more from now until eternity.

It's in revelations. This means we are in the end of times and God is granting us permission to do what we have as it doesn't matter-judgement has been made.

It sounds like a whole lot of nothing. Why did whoever wrote it waste breath/ink/paper? Basically they're saying nothing whatsoever.
