Urine is filtered by your kidneys, and stored in your bladder, When the urine is a dark yellow it means that one is not getting enough liquids in their system (meaning water, as other liquids, especially liquor may have to do with the discoloring of the urine in the first place. Some of the dyes used in many of the softdrinks, or the intake of a lot of cofee, tea, and colas may cause urine to turn dark as well as certain over the counter medications or prescription medication may also cause a change in the color of our urine .When urine is a clear yellow, it is usually due to the intake of a lot of water. When the urine is dark yellow it is because the urine has been stored in the bladder longer and has become full of more contamanants or is more concentrated. In short the more water you drink and the more often you void your urine the clearer it should be, which is good. The less often you drink clear liquids, like water, and the less often you void your urine, the darker yellow it becomes, which is not good. Contact with chemicals can cause our urine to become darker and have a foul odor, and can be a sign that something is wrong with our health or that we have been exposed to some kind of contaminate or illness. We should all drink at least eight ounces of water each day, and others say 16. We should void liqids at least three times a day, any less is considered unhealthy. In societies and tribes who depend on livestock for their lively hood, it is normal for them to check the quality of the urine and the stool of their livestock to monitor the health of their animals since they can tell much about the health of the animals from the appearance of their waste. The same is true of human mothers until their children reach a certain age when they are potty trained, then the subject is considered "personal, private, and almost taboo." Perhaps if we removed some of the taboo's concerning human waste, we would see less colon's the size of giant pythons on the autopsy tables and fewer illness associated with diet and obesity.

Depends on how much liquid you've drunk and to some extent on what you've eaten. There's a difference between dark and clear...the opposite is not light and cloudy. Persistently dark urine, especially with light-colored stools may indicate a liver problem, persistent cloudiness may be blood, pus, or high protein. If you notice unusual urine a lot, you should have it tested

It's all to do with hydration levels. If the urine is clear and colourless, then you have been consuming plenty of water; on the other hand, if it is on the bronze side of yellow then you need to drink more water, lots more! The colour can be indicative of other issues, such as kidney infection.

When its dark, You've been drinking to much coffee, tea or soda. When its clear you have been drinking water. Dark urine can eventually lead to a bladder infection. So if you drink a lot of coffee, tea or soda be sure to flush it down with plenty of water afterwords. Your body will thank you for it.

It depends on how hydrated or dehydrated you are. If, for example, you have been drinking alcohol, which dehydrates you, - taking water from your tissues - the salts dispelled from your kidneys - (the familiar smell is urea) will be less diluted, and therefore a darker colour. If you are drinking a healthy amount of water, your urine will be a much lighter yellow.

Your kidneys are a filtering system. When your body needs to rid itself of a lot of garbage in the fluids you drink, then you will find a heavier urine in colour. When the fluids are not so heavy in containment's then it just passed a colourles fluid on to the bladder. You only know this when your bladder says "I'M FUUULLL!! YOU HAVE TO EMPTY ME NOW!". And when you do then you can see how much work your kidneys have been doing.

Darker urine is usually caused by not taking in enough liquids. If it is dark and you are not taking a lot of vitamins etc then it means you aren't drinking enough.

The colour of urine depends on what you've eaten or drunk, and also how much. The more you drink, the lighter it gets.
It's also affected by medication and illness.

Depends how how dilute or concenrated it is. If you have have been drinking a lot of water, then your susu :-) is clear cause the solutes are diluted. But if no water drinking, then susu is yellow cause lots of solutes are being carried in a relatively smaller volume of water. Hurray!!!
The bigger question is: Why does pupu smell?
