i went to school with this guy for three years and now we go to the same high school, but i dont see him a lot. i text him and email him a lot, and he makes me laugh, and i think i kinda like him. i dont think he likes me like that, and he went out with my friend last year then broke up with her. i want to ask him out but i'm afraid i'll make a fool of myself, and get laughed at by some of my old friends. Should i ask him out to like see a movie?

i wouldn't mind just hanging out with him as friends, but i dont know if he'd even wanna hang out with me....

Check if it's cool with your friend that used to date with him and see if there would be any hard feelings. Then ask him to do something just like to a movie or hang out and take it from there.

Instead of you asking him 'out" why dont you just ask him if the two of you could "hang out" together sometime and catch a movie and see where it goes from there.
