Our local radio station wanted anyone to call in a funny story about the weirdest thing their pet had eaten, but I was afraid mine would not be aired.

I had a kitten and one day I noticed something white hanging from his rear. I thought it was a worm so grabbed a piece of toilet paper to remove it, and it kept on coming out. It turned out to be a piece of dental floss. You should have seen the look on that kittens face when I was removing it. Priceless!

Boy were you lucky that you didn't hurt your kitten! Things like floss, string or wool can get tied around your kitten's intestines, so pulling them out can cause serious internal injury. Keep an eye on your kitten to see if he seems okay; it might take a few days for a problem to show up. In future, just clip the end of the string, floss, or wool off close to his rear, and wait for him to poop it out. If this doesn't happen in a couple of days, take him to a vet right away, because it could be tied inside, and cause serious injury or even death. Good luck!
P.S.: The funnyiest thing my oldest cat eats is nacho chips. One day he ate an extra large bag while we were out and had left him in the car with the bag. He could hardly move!

I once had a cat that ran into the oven while some chicken was being made. My mother didnt see it happen and so she had closed the oven door. She realised it very quickly, opened the door, and the cat came running out with his tail smoking! It was so hilarious! If only it had been recorded - probably could've been on funniest home videos or something... the cat was fine of course.

Yes, kittens loooove tapes and ribbons and floss.. My cats will lick lemons and loooove to get into strawberry frosting.. one time I left my house and left my cake on top of the stove after frosting it.. I came back and there was this hole in it where my cat had licked off the frosting and cake. I filled in the hole with extra frosting and gave that side to my grandma who is really mean, we told her afterwards but she thought it was funny.

That's funny, had the same thing happen but it was a Red string from one of the Cat toys....and my Fiance pullled it out...We panicked cuz we thought it was blood or something. But my IxChel loves to eat our workout mats, so we've had to put Hot sauce on it to curb her appetite....which she learned to like - therefore we had to get rid of the mats.

Another of mine Duchess likes Ben Gay, can't have an ache without her finding me....

My cat loves crisps and toast. I can't get him off me if I eat crisps. He's even knocked down a bag of cheese footballs (cheesy snacks) and eaten them all.
Toast for breakfast is a no-go for me now..

My cat loves feathers. He rips them off of my 4 year olds dress up clothes and walks around with them hanging out of his mouth. He's weird...

Cats will definitely eat string, yarn thread, etc. Just be sure that it is not thread with a needle attached. That could mean surgery.

How funny, when I eat pizza I give my kitty green olives and she loves them. She also begs, with her head tilted and her big eyes, when I eat spaghetti, she likes little bites of noodle. (not plain, but covered in sauce). I know I shouldn't give her any, but i can't resist her.

One of my cats loves lettuce. When ever we make salads or cut up lettuce for our meals, he comes running. He will beg for more. Of course, if I kept cat grass or wheat grass around for him, he would be just as happy!
