Today I bought the Skippy Natural Peanut Butter because I found out the the regular one that Ive had (even though its reduced fat), has partially hydrogenated oil, which apparently is horrible for you. The label says no trans fat though, so it must be a neglible amount of it...? To my question, the natural peanut butter is not reduced fat. It has 180 calories, 16 grams of fat (3.5 saturated), and no partially hydrogenated oil. The reduced fat has 180 calories, 12 grams of fat (2 saturated) and apparently has some partially hydrogenated oil.
Which one am I better off using?

I always choose a natural peanut butter with no sugar or salt added. The oil is going to be peanut oil and I don't think that it's bad for you... at least it didn't used to be. It also tastes a whole lot better. But, it's not good for baking.

Natural of course, you can always add a little salt and sugar at least you dont have that other horrible fat in it. I prefer grinding it at the health food shop.
