Why are there probably 3 or 4 times more demons roaming the earth than humans?

Consider how many angels are still in heaven and how many fell and are banished to this earth.

Revelation 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

Daniel 7:10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

10,000 x 10,000 = at least 100,000,000 angels still in heaven plus thousands of thousands. could easily push the number above billions still in heaven.

These numbers only reflect the angels that are around the throne of God.

Now how many angels that fell with Satan are here on earth ?

Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

1/3 of some number above the amount of angels presently in heaven is easily seen to be billions.

I am not sure we could say 3 or 4 times as much but there are certainly a lot and way too many. Hope this helps.

I think there may be more demons on this earth than humans.
A whole legion of demons entered one man and Jesus sent them into a herd of swine. That didn't destroy them, they are not flesh and blood and cannot be destroyed. Not by humans anyway. Revelation 12:15 says a war broke out in heaven and micheal and his angels battled with the devil and his angels and they were throw down to this earth.' Woe for the earth the devil has come down to you having great anger.
So that is why so many people suffer and die.

The reason the son of man came was to destroy the work of the evil one. The scriptures do not give any count of demons, not sure where yours came from. Plus, humans have become so evil that some might be counted as demons in error.

I don't know where you got that rough estimate, and your quotes are from vague generic people. How do you know there are any demons roaming the world at all? How do you know there aren't 50 times as many demons as humans?

We have a lot of sinful christians, I guess. They don't bother us athiests since they don't exist for us! Too bad religious zeolots have to explain everything bad that happens in the context of demons, that something must have made them do something wrong. Too much trouble to take responsibility for ones' own actions.

Demons don't take up as much space and humans. They are thinner as they don't tend to overeat, but instead entice others to do so.
Demons also tend to live healthier, longer lives as they do not indulge in habits that cause illness, but instead entice others to do so. You tend to take care of yourself better when you know that when you die you are going to hell.

Because 1/3 of the host of heaven followed Lucifer and when he was banished from heaven, so were they because the followed him instead of God.

Remember, Satan isn't smart (at tempting us) because he's wise, he's smart because he's old.
He knows how to tempt us in just the right way, because he's had more practice at it than we have at fighting it.
