I don't know about the obvious but the secret to a long and healthy relationship is being open and honest and maybe even more important is keep the sex alive and fun.

Remember to say and do the things that attracted you to each other in ther first place and do not take each other for granted. For instance, if you didn't sit around in your underwear when your were courting, don't sit around in your underwear now. If you occasionally cooked a romantic meal, continue to do so. Try to make the other feel as loved as they are and not like a piece of furniture. It can be done!

Be honest in every aspect of the relationship. Think before you speak and never react out of anger or hurt.

from experience first the obvious communication, have fun with your partner in everything you guys do, don't be acheme to express your self and stop figthing betwen who is rigth and who is wrong
