I tend to go overboard because I love to cook so I'm always trying to find excuses. If you want to go easy then I wouldn't use a recipe. Just buy things out of the frozen food section that make for great finger foods such as Mini Quiche and get a veggie platter. If it's a group of guys, go for mini tacos, bean dip, chips and other junk. Now here's what I would do in my home... lettuce wraps, egg rolls, won tons, and almond cookies. Of course all hand made. No matter what you do, make sure you have small plates and lots of dips.

prawn toast is quite easy to make. basically get prawns and blend em up with a few other ingredients, spread it onto toast and cover with sesame seeds and deep fry. Yummy Chinese snacky food.
Another is french bread pizza breads. Get semi cooked french bread.(the kind you finish cooking in the oven) Cut down the middle to leave 2 long halves. Put some tomato purée on them, then cheese and some toppings.. Prawn and sweetcorn is nice but you could pick any toppings. Cook them in the oven for about 10-15 mins and they are such a yummy snack and cheap to make!

Top english muffins with pizza sauce, pepperoni, cooked sausage, chopped onions, black olives, and mozzarella cheese. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake the mini pizzas on a baking sheet toward the bottom rack for 10 - 15 minutes. This ones always a hit, especially with kids.

One of my favorite snacks to serve to friends is a pepper relish dip with either Fritoes or Tortilla chips.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
1 jar of pepper onion relish
1 package of cream cheese
Let cream cheese come to room temperature. In a mixing bowl, mix 1/2 jar of pepper onion relish with 1 package of cream cheese. Blend well (this takes some patience and time - I usually use a fork to blend the ingredients together) Chill for one hour and serve with your choice of chips.
Another great snack is stuffed dates.
Ingredients:
1 can of shelled whole almonds
1-2 packages of pitted dates
1 package of bacon
Insert one almond into each date. Wrap each date with 1/3 slice of bacon. Place onto a cookie sheet or shallow baking pan lined with foil, side by side in neat rows. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Serve warm or room temperature.

1 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
1/2 lb smoked ham (I use thin sliced ham and cut up into small squares)
1 8 oz sharp or ex sharp cheddar cheese
grated
1/2 medium onion diced
1/4 cup mayo
2 tsp yellow mustard
mix all well and form in ball shape, chill and serve with you favorite crackers. Yummy!!
You can adjust mayo and mustard to taste.
Even easier....cheese dip
1 can Rotell tomatoes & chilies (spelling may be off, but you get it by the diced can tomatoes and simular products)
1/2 large velveta pkg.
Put in crockpot and heat, it's addicting!

real easy sweet bologna with cream cheese. Spread cream cheese on the bologna, roll them up, then cut to the size you want. It's that easy.
