I have adopted an older cat from the rspca and now think it would be nice to get a kitten. The kitten would come to a loving, permanent home with myself and my fiancee with access to a nice garden and in a nice quiet cul-de-sac with no scary busy roads. If you are looking to give away or sell a kitten in south wales let me know.

Thanks :-)

If you have no luck on here, try the cat protection league.

Have you checked or did they say on taking the cat from the RSPCA that it would be ok with another cat in the house? Knowing its back ground would help in answering that question. Make sure before you get a kitten that it would be ok. As its already come from a rescue centre, i should imagine it needs loads of love an effection not the feeling of being pushed out by a kitten........ Good Luck...! xx

If you do get a kitten, I encourage you to go to a shelter, and give an animal another chance at life. But...I had that same idea. I read it in cat books that getting your older cat a kitten to play with and "raise" would be the most wonderful thing I could do for my adult cat. So I did go to the local shelter and got a lovely kitten. Brought it home, and the moment my adult cat saw it she was in a huff. After she saw me petting to kitten, she made up her mind to kill it. Cats do kill kittens, sometimes. Trying not to let me see, she smacked it several times and fled. The poor kitty was so sad, (what did I do wrong? Why is she mad at me?) I had to take the kitten back to the shelter for its own well-being. Hope this little story will help.

There will be more kittens around in the spring. Try in another 5-6 weeks. My cat Mia was born in Mid March and that was rare. You'll find more kittens in April - Sept. months.

While many persons offer free kittens,I would suggest you speak with a local vet. They know their animals and would probably be able to suggest a kitten from a family they know.
One of the possible problems in obtaining a kitten from an unknown source is their heritage and potential genetic defects passed on by an unknown daddy kitty.
If, however, you do find a kitten from another source, by all means, I would suggest you have your local vet examne it, first, just to assure it is healthy.
Then, and when you do find the kitty of your choice, please have it neutered as soon as your vet recommends, to help limit the over abundance of unwanted or unplanned litters.
I have gotten most of my kitties from the local humane society and have been happy with them. I am sure you will have a similar organization in the UK.
Good luck in finding the kitty of your choice. T^ake your time, and I am sure you will be happy (the two of you).

Maybe if you have a pet restue place or a SPCA, there are alot of kittens or any pates you want to have , that would love to have happy homes and someone to love them, and they are the best ones to have. Enjoy your kitten. It breacks my heart for every cat and dog, in the Spca. Please get your cat or dog fix. Have a nice day.

I congratulate you on getting a cat from the RSPCA, however, there are thousands of unwanted kittens in many animal shelters, please try again in one of these if you can't find a one from another source.
