Mormons believe in a living Christ, not a dead Christ. They simply choose not to use the symbol of his death. Go into a chapel and you'll see lots of paintings of Christ. Mormons still believe in Jesus just like other Christians.

They feel that the cross is something not to be looked highly upon.
The historical Christian church does not believe in this way. Another thing that the historical Christian church believes is that there is no remission of sin without the shedding of blood. The Mormon Jesus is only water - not blood.

It's a graven Image. A lot of people died on the cross, it was a roman death symbole. People might as well wear hyperdemic needles and electric chairs on their necks.

SuperDDD is correct. We prefer to reflect on the living Christ and look forward to His Second Coming, than focus on the manner of His death.

I used to take white crosses with my LSD. I found them to enhance the buzz but after awhile they began tearing my stomach to shreds, so i quit.
