The***PRAYNOGRAPHER***will answer this moronic query. If your god was so powerful you wouldn't be doubting it yourself. You sound as if you yourself are not sure of your god, and need some re enforcement. The god you speak of sounds like a very insecure god. What kind of god would have to put in writing, thou shall have no other god but me. If he really was The god, he would know it and would not have to threaten or scare simple humans. Sounds like a parent trying to scare children into listening to them. I the***PRAYNOGRAPHER***say to your god " Svck my d!ck, and je$us sucks Big D1ck. I will be waiting for the lightning wanna come stand next to . Now if you feel you should report me will that be to protect your almighty god, or is it just you and you insecurity. Hey snoopy, if there was a god he would strike you down for spouting off like you do and angering people in his name..Oh ya I know what jesus really said just before he died, "PLAY DUMB UNTIL I GET BACK" I just love yahoo answers........

Well, if you believe in the God of the Bible, He is powerful, regardless what people think / say / believe.

BTW, God will end all wars and stop all innocents from suffering, indeed. Just read Revelations.

Your belief in God does not at all depend upon my belief or disbelief in God. Your experience of God is as real as you understand it to be.

I do not for a moment question the sincerity of your belief. You believe in God.

Does that belief make your God any more powerful?

I would think not, since your God does not depend upon belief to exist.

Since we cannot conclusively prove that God exists or does not exist, and God does not depend upon our belief or disbelief, perhaps you shouldn't allow yourself to be too concerned about what others believe, and just treat everyone as if he or she were a child of the loving God in whom you believe.

If your god is that powerful, let's see him end the war in Iraq and prevent any more innocent lives from being lost, by, oh, how about next Tuesday.

When was the last time Gods power was noticeable?

Your god only has as much power as you give him. We create our gods in our own image so that we have something to reference when trying to contemplate things beyond our understanding, and when we feel alone or weak and need a supernatural force on our side. IMO, there's nothing wrong with needing a "higher power". I think we just need to admit that deity (regardless what you call him/her/them) is NOTHING like us and doesn't possess human emotion or faults (like jealousy and anger). Just my opinion.

Isn't it scary how many athiest people go onto the religion forum just to bash religion? harsh. Well anyway, to answer your question, just because i don't believe in god, if he does exist, then my faith means nothing to him, just because you didn't know that i existed until now doesn't mean that i existed any less, i believe in myself and i pretty much consider that the most important thing.
