Curtains For Black Furniture

Pick an accent color for things like curtains, throw pillow, artwork, lamp, vase. They don't have to be a solid color, either. It can be a pattern, but it would look nice if the pattern has some black in it. Not floral, but something geometric.

Reds - bold, flashy
blue or green - calmer and cooler
gray - boring

Your current decor is very neutral, so any color at all would go well. I might stay away from any pastel colors, just because the black/pastel mix looks a little dated.

Try stripes or geometric patterns for a bold look, or stick with single colors and/or more neutrals for a very classic look.

Have fun!

Something in an ivory color in a heavy fabric. If the fabric is too light it won't go well with a leather couch. A heavy fabric will draw your attention through out the room.

I'd use back curtains, it would look better. White curatins with white walls is not a good mix.

Black and white goes with any other color. It depends on what you like, and the feeling you want to invoke. Classic combinations with black and white are red, strong yellow, beige, or light blue.

any color of the rainbow.... look around in the windows of shops and see what appear to be "the hot colors" for 2007 in your area of the world.... I actually find that it is helpful to walk through the furniture dept at the dept. stores and see how they have some of their better stuff presented.... or a paint store will give you ideas if you go through their books of swatches, etc.
