This guy and I talk on the phone all the time [I met him at a conference]. You could say that we're friends, but lately there are some things that I haven't quite figured out from him. He's said the following things to me recently:
1. When I asked: "Why do you even talk to me?"
``He said: "I find talking to you to be very refreshing and relaxing. I like that you're not jaded like some of the people I work with."
2. When I asked him "What do you think of me as a person?"
He said: "I find you to be very attractive and I feel like you're very unique as person.You're very focused and opinionated. I like the fact that you not only laugh but that you love to laugh---and that's a gift. You could really bless a lot people with that, you know."
NOTE: "jaded" [worn-out, exhausted,overworked]

Make him get to the point. Ask him if he is interested in pursuing a "romantic relationship" with you. Guys can be funny about these things, sometimes you just have force them into an honest answer.

I dont think he knows u at all. Ur not refreshing and relaxing. actually u are parrinoid and asking dumb questions. i dont know if u are attractive but u are really unique.... kinda stupidly unique. focused...... um, u focuse on what u wanna see not what is ovious to everyone else. opinionated.... what is ur opinion on what he has been saying? do u love to laugh? I love to also and u kinda crack me up with this question.... duh! HELLO!!!!! he likes u and what he has been saying are compliments if u didnt know. Id becareful though cause if he found out how totally ignorant u were in life in just the simplest things like knowing when someone likes u..... he may get turned off cause of ur stupidness. but then again..... it might make him feel smarter. Oh yea... the jaded thing is the worst. U are worn out stressing about what u think he is saying, exhausing urself, and SO over working at trying to figure out the duh things in life. WAKE UP WOMAN! this is a simple question. HE LIKES U!

Sounds like he likes you, if those were his words he sounds fairly intelligent. Maybe he just doesnt know how to make a move on you, but honestly those are pretty high compliments, he put a good deal of thought into what he said, he cares about you none the less.

He is probably just waiting, wants to know if you are attracted to him as well before he makes a move, because he doesn't want to ruin a perfectly good friendship. Sounds like a keeper.

he thinks you're a beautiful person, and he prolly wont mind getting to know you better. If you are intrested now is your time to SHINE!!! :-) he could just want to be friends, and he's being nice, but it sounds like it's a big breathe of fresh air to him that he met you. good luck

He probably likes you but he is married, dating, who knows plus looks like you guys live in different states or something. So he probably thinks its never going to work out.

First of all...build up your self-esteem. He should be talking to you because you are a bright, beautiful confident woman. And second...not what he thinks of you as a person..but what do you think of you? It's possible that he likes you..but confidence is a big attractant. You should be asking him what he thinks of himself and why you should bother talking to him.

He is trying to tell you that he likes you but in a way that wouldn't come back to bite him if you do not feel the same way.
