Prepare to walk a lot! Wear comfortable shoes and if the weather is hot that day, sunscreen! There are very few shaded areas at a race track. If you can get your hand on some radio headphones you can tune in and listen to the drivers talk. If you have never been around a crowd of 75,000 to 100,000+ people then prepare yourself to be nudged and standing in line for everything. It is the most awesome experience though to see it all in person and to feel the earth move under your feet from all that horsepower on the race track. And to see all the awesome fans in all their attire and craziness! ENJOY Once you go you'll go again and again! It is FUN!!

I went to Busch series race at the Milwaukee Mile. It's pretty cool. It's not as big of a track as most venues. So you have 80,000 people like that one guy said. Parking in the infield is cool but it'll take you forever to get out so I don't recommend it. It's an all day party, so show up a few hours before the race and walk around the State Fair grounds. They have all kinds of booths and entertainment. The race is usually at night in Milwaukee so it's not as hot. You'll have a good time.

If your camping...you will have one hell of a party on your hands. I go every year and its a total blast. Any NASCAR race is better if you stay in the campgrounds. You should have gotten cup tickets to go with the Busch series.
