Can anyone recommend a good firm for a loft extension in Harrow area of Middlesex? There are a few around but rather than simply asking for quotes from loads, I want to have a few round that are recommended by people who have used them.
Plus- any bad stories and things to look out for in quotes etc.
I am close to retirement and don't want any bodgers or rip-off merchants.

a mate had a builder to give an idea what was needed on his house he had to have steel girders fitted in and a re route of his landing for the ladders then ventilation smoke alarms etc i cant remember everything but it was near sixteen grand to have the loft converted to a bedroom but it would add value to the home ..he didnt go ahead though
just be careful ask the builder how many conversions he has done also just recently the rules and regulations have tightened up a lot
its not going to be cheap

best of luck

of course it relies upon on the gap which you gain, yet extra concerns are a) the style between residing on 3 tiers or 2. maximum folk could prefer 2; b) there are hearth get away subject concerns with loft conversions that would compromise the room layouts on the decrease flooring, eg self final doors on all rooms earlier each little thing floor point and an enclosed corridor at floor floor.
