Olympus is an excellent brand.
I had a C4000 that I really liked. If the reviews are decent, I am sure the 550 will be a great camera.

The MSRP will be $499 - while Olympus is not as popular as Canon & Sony, it does have lots of loyal users/supporters - see here for some discussion on this highly anticipated camera:
