He can still not pass. There are several obstacles along the in basic training that can wash him out. If he is unable to qualify on the rifle range, if he is unable to pass the physical fitness standards, if he sustains a major injury, or if he just can't take it and decides to quit. Yes, that's right, you can still quit during boot camp, it happened when I was there. Anyway, the dropout rate for the reasons I listed is very low. If he made it there, the chances are good that he will finish. As long as he wants it and does not get hurt, he will graduate.

No. The "permanent address" IS where his mail will go to before it is sent to him in the event that he is immediately shipped out for any reason. He can still be rejected for undesirable behavior or actions as well as just really bad choices(like hitting your drill sergeant or an MP per say).

No it only means that he is at that address for the time being. He could fail basic training in a number of ways, and get recycled, or booted out as unfit.

He can still not pass if he does not meet up to standards in boot camp, or becomes ill, or becomes injured...or he could just totally **** up. Just because he has his mailing address, doesn't mean that he will graduate. You can have your cords taken from you the day of graduation.

Jesus did. It's in the Bible. Here is the reference. Matthew 16:21 From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day. 22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You." 23 But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's." Jesus said this to Peter because he was giving Jesus bad councel that would have thwarted what He came to do. Satan is the adversary and seeks to thwart God's will. When people act or advise something that would thwart God's will, they are wittingly or unwittlingly doing Satan's bidding. So get behind me Satan. Don't thwart me from God's purpose.

Don't worry honey,he's in and you'll know everything soon.I dint remember getting any mail in boot camp?
Not that they don't get mail,I just don't remember getting any mail at all.We did not get phone call privileges,TV or radio,of that I'm sure.We ran up and down the steps alot with our mattresses in hand, lol.Boot camp for me was just a big laugh out!So many nerds getting their asses kicked, and the drill instructors would pick your weakest character flaw and beat you with it.That's what made it SO funny. When they said for NYC boys to come up front I DINT! HAHAHHAHAHAHAH

What? There are still ways he can get kicked out. One is if he breaks his leg or something and wants out. The other is if he had an existing medical condition he could get kicked out. The other is that can commit a crime. But for the most part if he does what he is told, he doesn't have anything to worry about.

No. That only means he is physically there. He can be eliminated at absolutely anytime. If he fell and hurt his back on the way to the graduation ceremony, or decided to cuss out his superior, they could still eliminate him.
