Who do you think is supressing all that damn Irish folk music? If we pull out it will be riverdance here and 'off to the old pub by the shores of killbollocks' there - everywhere will be filled with blarney snogging bog trotters!

Isn't this racist? Lol
Northern Ireland held a referendum as to whether or not to be a part of the United Kingdom. The overwhelming majority voted to be a part of the UK.
So the people of Northern Ireland are as much a part of the United Kingdom as you or me.
But you will get more support from them than certain other countries in the UK.
(And no, I am not Irish, nor any connection)
Ask the same question about the Scots, who are subsidised to the tune of some £12 billion by the English tax payer. They have got their own parliament - which discusses Scottish matters - which English MPs cannot take part in. Yet Scottish MPs can vote on matters purely English.
Welsh parliament have now decided that no-one in Wales needs a tv licence. Guess who is paying for that?
(Don't start me off!)

Scotland, N. Ireland and Wales seem to rely on the money and economy generated by England. I don't see the point in a union at all, but then again, it's like four brothers bickering over nonsense. You're all going to be connected regardless of what you call yourselves. You're all British to the rest of the world already, might as well stay that way. Or you could give Ireland back it's northern half, tell the Scots to figure it out on their own, and adopt the welsh as a state... sort of like what America did with Alaska. (this last section was mildly sarcastic.. but only mildly).

Short answer?
NI is as British as 'England' and is a democracy the majority of NI citizens would have to WANT to become part of Ireland before it could be happen. It's not up to the uneducated armchair politician to decide.
Meanwhile the NI British continue to contribute to the BRITISH tax system, the way the English, Scotish and Welsh do.

N.I is part of Great Britain so we can't pull out. We can pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan which would save even more money and save our soldiers lives that would make more sense
