my mom and dad think im to young to have a cell phone but i am almost 15, what can i do to convince them that i am responsible!!!

You are too young for a cell phone, sorry. About the only way you're going to convince them is to get a job and be able to pay the bill on your own. Personally I think that most adults are too childish to own a cell phone.

When you show them that you are responsible enough to foot the bill for said cell phone. I think once you are old enough to get a job and pay for it yourself is when you should get a cell phone. When and if you get one may I suggest a pay as you go account that way you'll know exactly how much money you are spending.

Perhaps tell them that you are willing to pay for some or all of the bill (depending on whether or not you have a job..babysitting, newspaper delivery etc...) that would cover the monthly bill. Explain to them that it is a great way for them to contact you when they need. Ask them to maybe allow you to use their cell phone for the weekend and prove to them how responsible you can be with it.

I think 15 is too young also my dear. But maybe if you keep your room tidy, and study hard getting good grades, then maybe they will reconsider when you are another year older. In the meantime, keep a couple quarters in your pocket for the pay phone.

Believe me, they know better than you just how responsible you are. It wont kill you to not have one yet, and will make you more reliable. And a bit of advice, don't say "all my friends have one", cause they dont care. Pay for it yourself if you need one that badly. That wil show them you are responsible.
