If i was you i would disguise myself as one of your friends and ask Rachel 'what she thought of me/you? If the answer was positive,i'd pick my self confidence out of the canal and plunge in with a 'Der der der dododo you wa wa wa wa wanna come rol rol rol rollerbladin or sni sni sni sniff some glue with me sometime?' If she seemed kinda negative i'd get back to my computer and ask for some more advice.

Do you have some friends in common? Maybe you can all go out as a group and then you can get to know each other better if you notice how shes reacting as one of the other people on here said ... you will notice body language .. You wont be so shy if you realize theirs some interest on her part ...rejection can be frightening ... Good Luck ..

If u already know her thats half the battle won! I'm not an expert but if you go to the same places as her, why don't u engage in conversation with her first. Take your time, ask her to go for coffee through the day and then progress to asking her for a proper date. Women love a proper gent, despite what people say. If she's worth it she'll say yes.

the thing is that girls are just as shy to ask guys out. so if she seems like she likes you, then go for it! you'll never know unless you try. also, girls sort of like the shy type.

Don't ask her out until you know if she likes you, talk to her and find out. If you can find out from someone else that she likes you thats the best! Just bide yor time, what will be will be.
You never know, she might send you a card on Valentines.
